Ariel/Abigail
"That must be where you get your strength from." Abigail commented and nodded. "That's the goal, at least." She had been taught by Hannibal that people didn't get wiser with age. She was beginning to question that, as she was with many of his other lessons. It might have simply been one more way for him to control her.
"There's a lot of stuff I don't know too." Abigail paused. "Therapy is basically a way to help people cope with the challenges they face. There's physical therapies for people with injuries. But usually when people talked about therapy on my world, they were talking about helping with mental health." She explained as best she could. Therapy wasn't a cure in her experience, but there was a time when Hannibal's treatments had helped her. "You're right. People here wouldn't have the time for therapy, so they probably don't know about it." It was sad to think that even that would be a luxury for the people of this world. "A safe, clean place to live will be a good start." Assuming they could find it.
Abigail was pleasantly surprised by the hug. She had missed simple acts of affection and friendship. When the hug ended, she smiled. "You're a really good person. Every world needs people like you."
