Ariel/Abigail
"We can feel fear that makes us do things and feel guilt about it after." Abigail commented. "They don't." Hannibal had been the same way, She envied that ability to live without the shame, the nightmares, the flashbacks and all of the rest of it. "I don't know if that makes us better or worse. We can't be the same." Unless someone in their group was able to turn off their emotions. That would be an amazing magic.
Abigail nodded. "Yeah, food's got to come first. I hunted back home too, not rats, and not like this. But my family never went hungry." Though she wished they could have done that in a more normal way. "The people here are going through so much. It doesn't seem fair that when these if over, we get to go back to the bus and they'll still be on this world."
"Wow." Abigail said, genuinely impressed. It was considerably more advanced than her first thoughts. "We could definitely use it to find more rats and mice. Can it detect plant life too? Even some dandelions that managed to make it through could be edible." Though everything they ate probably had some levels of radiation. Nothing was ever completely safe.
