James & Ginny - 11:50pm, Abigail & Ginny's house.
"Yeah, really," Ginny said with an answering grin, happy to see the joy this brought her — father-in-law. "We bloody love it. Great for playing Quidditch, and having everyone over, and we use the stables for granians." At the grimace, she brought her leg up to prod him in the side with her foot. "You did the best you could, mate," Ginny said, her voice soft but sure. "And it's back in the family now."
She took a slow drink from her cider, the mention of Death Eaters turning her thoughts back to Malfoy, like the ocean washing in a raft made of rubbish. "I don't know what's going on that Malfoy's being buddy with Remus, and frankly, I don't want to," she said, her voice clear as a bell and just as hard. "He's somehow tricked my eldest brother and his wife into letting him into their home and I don't approve of that either." Even saying that now, she grimaced; it was only the spectre of Fred that had seen Ginny go towards ignoring her brother and Fleur's friendship with Malfoy, rather than respond with fire. "The only reason I'm not telling you right off what I know about Malfoy is that I know it would, in all likelihood, make your relationship difficult with Remus like mine is with Bill, and I don't want to put that on you without asking what you'd prefer to know."
