Re: Theo and Loki 11:45 PM - Near the fireplace
There was little he could do to stop the slight flush in his cheeks and he laughed, carefree and happy. He knew although said in jest that Loki spoke the truth, and was certain that by now he knew that he wanted him always.
Theo wondered just when they would discuss the unfortunate circumstances of his mortality. He knew it was something that haunted Loki's thoughts and nothing he could do would alleviate it. If there was a way, he would take it. Preferably without shortening Loki's life. That would be such a great cost and not his to pay. He'd never ask it.
"I love you," he said and placed his hand alongside Loki's cheek. "There is always a way and I believe in you. You'll find the way," he said softly. He didn't know how or when, if it would be apples or some other nectar of the gods, or something else entirely. The only thing he knew right now for certain was that it was close enough to midnight and it couldn't wait any longer.
Leaning in he pressed his thumb in against Loki's lower lip, urging his mouth open and pliant. He couldn't help but smile into the kiss, having waited for what felt like forever.
