Re: Theo and Draco 10pm - In the kitchen
"I've always been the life of the party. I just happen to shine among wizards and not- this menagerie of species," he said, shaking his head. He really did not understand why Theo had suddenly gotten so interested in people. He was the loner in Slytherin, making Draco look like the poster boy for openness, which he wasn't. Draco wasn't sure how he felt about this switch.
"Being able to afford one isn't the same as being given one. Displaced house-elves are so rare." A family had to die out or the owners had to give them up. Neither happened often. "Anyway, there aren't any here, so it's not an issue. I would not object to having one, should we ever go somewhere with house-elves."
He raised an eyebrow. "How can I say what part? That I speak to the locals more than you? Because that's a fact. I think I knew everyone in Necrohelm." And it still hurt to think about it. He really had made friends there and would have loved to resettled there. "Or that I see no reason to talk to the people on the bus? Because I really have no interest. I truly don't want to know anything about them. Unless they can find a way to break the hold the bus has on us, I'm not interested, and even then, I just care about how they do it, and not about their lives and, Merlin forbids, their feelings. I also don't suffer from any belief that anyone cares. Everyone is out for themselves and only cares about their little group. I don't blame them; it's how it should be, but I certainly doesn't encourage me to get to know them."
