Who: Loki and Open
When: "December" 30th, morning, a few hours into the blizzard
Where: Outside, around where all the houses are
What: Starting an investigation of the strange weather
Warning: None, at least to start
When Loki had taken his evening walk the night before, he could smell snow in the air, but he hadn't expected anything like this. He had woken up early, which wasn't really that much out of the ordinary since their arrival. He'd actually been sleeping rather well in the cold, though he'd woke up early feeling a bit overly warm each morning. He and Theo had managed a happy medium on temperature for the their room, but Loki still found he needed a brisk walk each morning to cool him off.
This morning was no different, except that the temperature was much colder than they had experienced and it was snowing so hard Loki could barely make out the neighbouring houses. It was both beautiful and most concerning. Loki had come to quite like this place as it was the first time he'd been anywhere and felt comfortable in his true skin. He'd heard people talking about this Santa fellow being missing, and he had to wonder if the two things were connected.
Knowing he was likely one of the few people (if not only person) who could tolerate the weather, he decided to head out, see if there was anything he could find, though he really had no idea what to look for. After leaving Theo a note, letting him know what he was up to, and headed outside. Immediately, he found it was much more difficult to navigate outside than he had anticipated and he headed back in for some of the supplies that had shown up in their luggage. For the first time since arriving, he grabbed a coat and quickly figured out the weird things that strapped to the boots he put on. It wasn't hard to see that they would help walking in the snow. Forgoing the goggles, he made his way outside again, making his way through the houses as he wondered what was going on.
