Re: Steve/Loki
"I have considered that," he said gravely, "but so much from our lives, mine and Bucky's coincide. The thing is that he said that he saw me return as an old man. Me. I didn't explain what had happened. It makes sense if the bus happened, because I was born in 1918. I went into the ice in 1945. When they woke me in 2011, I had aged a year, maybe less. If you consider that a man could live to ninety, that means 63 more years and if it takes seventy years to age a single year, that means that I could potentially be alive for close to forty-five hundred years. I'd beat an Asgardian," he said with a tiny smile. "No way that a fifty year jump would have had that impact."
Steve rolled his eyes. "That was me agreeing with you, not saying something different. You don't need to raise that eyebrow." He shrugged. "Since it's unlikely that either of us will figure out how to change our speech patterns any time soon, then we keep talking until we figure out how the other speaks, and maybe stay away from those phones or keep discussions through text limited to yes and no answers."
Now that so much was said, there was one question he wanted to ask. He waved his fork around. "So, is this staying? Because you don't have to change back if you don't want to."
