Ariel/Mac/Merrin
"I will try the potatoes next- I haven't yet." She assured the women she was sitting with. A break, as Mac had suggested was a good idea, though given she wasn't feeling so full yet, her impatience would only hold so long, wanting to try more food. "And the carrots." She added with touch of amusement, there was just so much. "Is there something sweet also?" She added in what she hoped was offhand, and not too obvious how much she wanted there to be.
Merrin listened with curiosity, sheltered though they were the Nightsisters of course knew the Galaxy was a vast place, there were many species, many worlds and things like governments, the Jedi and Royals who ruled their planets - but still she had no exposure to it. Her gaze would shift between the two as they managed to convey the grandness of it all; parties all week, feasts attended by crowds and ceremonies - which the fact Mac found them dull only made Merrin grin to herself. But she was right about Ariel's event sounded like a nice day, she nodded to the redhead to agree.
"It sounds very special." She decided, to have something that was once in one's entire life. "It must be difficult to be away from your land, and people." She added, unable to help feeling the need to console the woman briefly on being robbed of her title by being brought here, though she didn't seem to pause too long on it, however.
Mac seemed to have already understood at this point Merrin was lost, though the concept of celebrations, especially after what she'd experienced here and in the town before it, were helping her paint an image. "No wedding." Clearly drawing a blank on that one. "There are royal beings on other worlds in the galaxy but not on Dathomir. Our rituals are special to the Nightsisters- but not the same." The celebrations Ariel and Mac were describing sounded larger, event-like welcoming many, Nightsister business, well they very much kept to their own.
