Re: Steve/Loki
"I suppose that's true," Loki admitted. He had done his best to hide it, but finding out about Ragnarok had really disturbed him. At the time, he'd had no one to speak about it with, and he doubted very much that anyone cared what he thought of losing his home, so he'd pushed it down. That didn't mean it hadn't hurt to hear about. "Though I suppose I have lived a lot since we last met in 2012 as well. I'm just not sure how much. Time in the TVA is very much not linear." He actually smiled a little as he spoke, which was surprising even to him.
Loki couldn't help but smirk. "Not everyone requires a reason to lie," he said with a bit of a chuckle. He wondered if the Captain knew how naive that sounded. Especially when speaking with someone who was well known for lying for fun. He gave Steve another confused look as he continued. "First of all, I must think there is a better way of figuring things out than walking into a firefight. There are plenty of soldiers and leaders who do what is right and don't walk out to 'see who shoots at them.' Secondly, how do you know how things will affect the world? I understand in situations were there are only a few people involved you could use deductive reasoning, but the larger plans. I don't understand how, baring psychic abilities, you could know how your actions might affect an entire planet."
Now that made some sense to Loki. He, after all, was doing this for Bucky as well. If he hadn't thought that Bucky could be his friend again one day, he never would've sat down with the Captain at all. "Well, I still don't know if we can work together, but I suppose we should try." He smirked and raised an eyebrow, showing he was teasing. Though honestly, he still wasn't convinced it was a good idea for them to try and team up. He was willing to bury the hatchet and not fight with the Captain anymore though.
