Re: Ariel/Mac/Merrin
"It really is a fun holiday. I know a few people who don't like it, but I never really understood that. It's the time of year when everyone gets together with family to give gifts and eat way too much. Really, what could be wrong with that?" Mac said with a laugh. "And oh my god yes, those potatoes are to die for. Merrin, if you didn't try them, you probably should. The roasted carrots were also divine." All this talk of all the great food and Mac was going to break her own rules and eat even more herself.
"I've never been to a royal wedding myself, there isn't a lot of proper royalty left where I'm from, but I would guess that it was something similar to what you're describing Ariel," she said with a nod. "I know the English royal weddings are big enough that they televise them in multiple countries on Earth, but we only get to see the ceremony and hours of people talking about the royal family as guests arrive. It's actually pretty boring."
Mac smiled. She really wasn't one for weddings herself. Well, she didn't want to have a wedding herself, being a guest could be a lot of fun though. "Sounds like it was a great day," she said. She decided against mentioning divorce on Earth. Why talk about the dark side of marriage when Ariel is remembering something nice. She turned to Merrin then. "Do you have any kind of celebrations? I know we talked about this a little bit, but everyone needs some downtime. Or is all this just completely foreign to you?"
