Re: Sleigh 2: Bucky and Steve (UTC +7 to +8)
"Hey, I could have kept you company. I was perfectly able to do that even if I couldn't wash the sheets." They both knew that any attempt would have made him feel worse, and that was before two mothers had their hides for even thinking about it. "I'm sorry if you had to live through that, although I'm glad that I never knew. I could have never picked, because my friendship with their brother was a lot more important to me."
They were basically saying the same thing, except he wasn't sure that he agreed about the last part. "I enjoyed taking Pierce down. It was personal. I'd been sent on missions to further his own goals without even knowing it, but Russia took you away, Pierce sent you back. I definitely dislike Russia over Pierce." If it hadn't been for that assignment, he would have never known that Bucky was alive. "He certainly had balls, didn't he? To think that you could kill me and that I wouldn't recognize you." Of course Pierce probably thought that the Winter Soldier would have killed Captain America and it'd be done.
Steve shrugged. "Nothing made sense. It wasn't even that the so called monsters were the good guys, I can deal with that, but it's that they were the good guys who talked about torturing and killing people like it was nothing. There was no sense of right and wrong." This was a lot simpler. "We can talk to the elves and see if we can locate him, while we look for Santa. We are capable of multitasking."
