Re: Cal Kestis // Roman
"I suppose. I don't dispute any of that, just the word 'honor' seems too much, you know? If you're a dick, you're a dick, and I'm perfectly happy to let you know. At length too," he said, chuckling.
Roman made a face, but then he shook his head. "I don't think so. He's too dumb, and if you were some great mastermind, doing all of this, would you put yourself front and center, where people could just kill you on sight, and we do have a lot of people who could do that. It doesn't seem smart enough and anyone that can create this bus has to be smart." He hadn't told the story for sympathy and the neutral answer was appreciated. "It sucks, I know, but it's worse for Letha who's dead. And I almost killed myself before ending up here, so I have the bus to thank." Although he was curious to know what he would be like if he changed into his true Upir form, even if that was a very slippery slope.
"That sounds really cool." He grinned. "That's because I'm fucking hot in any color, and if it's anything like my world, humans want to kill what's different, whether it's evil or not. Shelley, my other sister, is very tall, much taller than me, can't speak and has a strange eye. She's always the nicest and smartest person you know, but people only see a 'monster'. Only our money has protected her. These people might have been hunted by humans." He frowned. "I have to go back to Peter soon, but what do you think about walking around and talking to a few people? They might be a little nicer with me around."
