Re: Theo and Loki
Even with the ghosts still chattering away, Loki felt infinitely better just being with Theo. It was still a strange and new experience for him, but it was also kind of wonderful. There had been few times in his life where he'd had people he thought he could count on, that he actually wanted to spend time with and they'd always left for one reason or another. He could only hope that didn't happen with Theo, at least not any time soon. He wasn't sure he could handle it if he disappeared like Mobius or Sylvie had. He was even more invested with Theo than he had been with them, and it had been soul crushing enough with them.
But that wasn't the kind of thoughts he wanted to have, not here, not now. Not ever really. It was likely the lack of sleep that was causing these thoughts to continually intrude, but right now, his will to have a good time with one of his favourite people ever was much stronger. Especially with Theo flushing beautifully at a compliment.
"Oh, we could most definitely handle anything that came our way together," Loki agreed with a soft chuckle. In fact, Loki had never felt so sure about that. He'd always had confidence in his ability to handle himself in battle, but with Theo by his side, he felt like he could do anything. Including ignoring the constant ghostly chattering, at least for a little while.
Loki looked at Theo thoughtfully as they walked through the hunt. He barely noticed the commotion around them now. "I can't say I've ever really had a best friend. I almost did, for a very short period of time just before arriving on the bus, but that..." he didn't really know how to explain what had happened really so he just kind of trailed off. With a bit of a sigh, he continued. "That is my only regret. I would like to know more about what you were like when you were small. Adorable I bet." He couldn't help but smirk as he tried to picture Theo young.
