Re: Steve/Tony
"Can't even imagine." He was glad that they got on well now. It had been hell getting to this point, since they were naturally just such different people, but they'd finally figured out how to make it work, mostly just by learning each other's personalities and figuring out what worked well for them.
"Maybe. I think he'd also just be happy to see us, even if we are stealing his hammer, though."
He let out a sigh before nodding. "I'll try to at least not approach any more aliens without a suit. I think I can at least promise doing that much." He said that he'd try, anyway. He certainly didn't want to die any time soon. He ust sometimes got so caught up in a moment that he didn't think, which was weird for someone who was supposed to be a genius.
He knew that Steve wouldn't get him standing up for Loki. Tony was a little surprised to hear that Barnes had also stood up for him. Something interesting to file away for later. "No, I know everything that you know about him," Tony told him. "I just also know what it's like to have that patented Captain America frown and disapproval pointed my way. You know I'm someone that, when I know someone disapproves of me, I'll make sure to aggravate them even more. I think Loki might be the same way." Maybe it was reaching, but he could see similarities in himself and Loki. "You used to say similar stuff about me, too. I'm not saying that you have to trust him right away, Steve. I'm just saying that he might surprise you. Maybe try going a little easier on him. Besides, he's too powerful to dismiss outright. Better to keep him in reserves if nothing else." Loki didn't seem the type to stay on the sidelines, though.
