Re: Loki/Bucky
“No, not at all,” Loki replied. He was actually quite interested in finding out when everyone was from. He was working on a theory that Kang specifically picked everyone on board from a specific time for a specific reason. Loki just couldn’t even begin to guess why. “If you heard about my ill-fated invasion of New York City, I’m from just after my arrest. But it’s actually been awhile since then for me. I’ve been outside of time which makes counting days impossible and pointless.”
Loki could hear himself start to ramble, a clear sign that he was starting to get proper drunk, but he was having a good time so didn’t much care. “Anyway, when I found myself on this bus, I naturally thought that the people who knew me from before would try locking me up or otherwise restrain me because well, the last time I saw any of them that’s what was happening.”
“I, personally, stopped coming here when I was quite young. Your civilization was in it’s infancy and quite honestly, it was boring. I had a much better time in other realms, if I felt like travelling. There were other Asgardians who felt differently though. As you know, Thor became a big fan, but there were others before them. There are still stories told in Norway, I’m to understand. As you say, it makes sense that Thor settled out there.”
“I’m pretty sure this would work for you,” Loki said after some consideration. “It’s at least a reasonable hypothesis. And what’s the worst that happens, you don’t get drunk? I mean. I would think it a tragedy, but it’s not actually a bad thing,” he said, his hands gesturing more as he spoke.
He gave Bucky a nod. He didn’t know what was going between Bucky and Steve, but they didn’t seem as close as Loki would’ve expected after what he’d heard about their friendship. “And how bad would that be? If the Captain noticed and interpreted correctly?”
