Re: Draco/Theo
"You spend your career seeking new magic," Draco answered. "Unspeakables don't study weird Muggles. They study the mysteries of magic. Our magic. Not something that we can't cast." But just as he said it, he knew that Theo had never really fit inside the Ministry. Sure, he might work there, but not because he was trying to further their knowledge, but to satisfy some personal curiosity. "I want to learn about magic. This isn't it."
He frowned. "For one, I didn't know that she was young. Prewett? That must mean she's just out of school. On the other hand, the woman did kill my aunt. She can't be completely useless." Anyone capable of casting the killing curse had a dark streak inside her whether she wanted to admit it or not.
"Right, because you like it here and Potter would ruin your plans by actually finding a way home." Now, he really want for Potter to arrive and somehow prove that he was right. It might take time, but he'd find the way.
"I'm glad that you do, but this is hardly the same, and you know it. You're stretching, because you can't resist some new and shiny thing. You're remarkably like a Gryffindor at times." He snorted. "Of course I can brew it successfully. Snape made sure I could brew plenty of potions. When he'd call me to the Headmaster's office, he'd make me brew stuff." It was a good way to stay out of the Carrows way and Draco had always appreciated that. "You can help with the potion. And with going home. Until Potter arrives," he added with a smirk. Theo could be so unflappable until Potter was mentioned, and Draco couldn't help himself.
