"Those in Europe at the time were rounded up along with Jews and sent to be killed alongside them. We were supposedly worse than Jews in the eyes of Nazis... and werewolves were hunted by all sides, for those that knew of them," Peter said solemnly. "But, we're not even sure our world histories match each other's worlds," he resigned. Though, with further clarification, Peter could understand what it was that Grandpa meant.
Of the five cards, Peter flipped the middle one of the cross. Beautifully hand-illustrated art with ink and watercolour graced the other side of the rough-edged cards. A lone man sat before a small fire, surrounded by a thick wood. "This... would be the equivalent to the Hermit card in a more modern deck. It's a sign of needing to look for answers within or nearby. Something always lurks in the trees just behind one's back."
Peter shifted in his seat again. "Do you think we'd explode if I lit up a cigarette before I start having to interact with these people? Would Captian man throw me off the airship?"
