Re: Tony & Nebula
"I was taking a break from that when I ended up on the bus. The heroics were starting to be too much," she admitted. Of everyone she knew, she was perhaps only comfortable sharing this with Tony and Rocket. Since Rocket wasn't here, Tony was it. "Or I guess it's more honest to say I was taking a break from saving the world as part of a team. It is not something that comes naturally for me." She looked around, careful not to let her gaze linger on Steve or any of the others she knew. She'd left one team and landed herself smack in the middle of another, more or less. "Perhaps this is the universe's way of telling me to get used to it."
She made a face at the idea anyone would think her delicate. "You are indeed correct in that assumption." No one had ever thought her delicate, or tried to pursue her romantically, and she was quite all right with that. Romance, she was entirely certain, was not anything she was interested in. "Bizarre, but now is not the time for you to try to explain fashion to me. I don't think there exists a time for that. Ever." She couldn't imagine anything worse than spending more time than they had been discussing the ins and outs of fashion etiquette. Unless it was manners. That would be even worse.
"I am sure that between all of us, we will have no trouble stopping them. I am less sure that we can do it non-lethally as the captain wants, but I do like a challenge." She understood why non-lethal was ideal, but she'd made no promises. However, she respected Steve Rogers enough to at least make the attempt. "That would be ideal. Let's go."
She knew she should wait for Tony to lead the way, as was customary in this time, but she had never been good at waiting. She took a moment to note where the others were, and then headed in a direction that seemed to be unoccupied by anyone from the bus. There was a small group of men and women talking, and waitstaff with trays milling about. Plenty to eavesdrop on, and get the lay of the land.
