Re: Dipper and Roman
Roman was a confusing guy and listening Dipper didn't know if he wass being a jerk or trying to give advice. Looking puzzled by what he said just paused and rubbed the back of his neck. "Do you really think it's that bad?" He asked feeling a little uncertain. He did have a good point. He'd been called by his nickname so long now he didn't even think about his given name and maybe he should.
That was probably true. Some people cared a lot about money just not him. It didn't buy you happiness but it sure could get you a lot of stuff and that's all that mattered to people. Some people anyway. "Mabel is the more social one," he said with an almost smile. "My twin sister, Mabel. She loves parties. I usually only go to them when she drags me there. I'd rather just play a game or read." He said, knowing for sure that if Roman didn't assume he was a nerd he likely thought so for sure now. And he was, so that was only true.
"You say that like it's an easy thing. My folks don't have money to just throw around or connections to find me a job," he said with a shrug. "Money would be nice, but it can't be everything. Not when you can't count on it." He said and wondered how much Roman just took for granted because it seemed like a lot. "I think it's cool," he said with a shrug. "It's not like it's something I was going to just stumble into on my own."
"I never heard of a New York that has superheroes in it, so it's not our New York. Or not mine anyway. But for them it is a special place." He said and left it alone. Dipper looked at Roman in disbelief even though he had expected the answer he got it still surprised him. "I don't know if I should answer that. I think your kind of a crazy guy."
