Steve/Yelena
Yelena listened and then slowly nodded thoughtfully. Leading and then people were free to follow or not. Most people who spoke that casually about leadership were egotistical megalomaniacs with visions of world domination. Either that or those actually with the ability to impose their will onto others. Either way, Yelena did not approve.
Steve Rogers, on the other hand, did not that have same feel to him. He might be the real deal. He must be, Yelena decided, for Natasha to follow him so willingly.
"Friends," said Yelena, nodding approvingly. "It is good that Natasha had people she could call her friends. Family," she corrected herself. "She looked at the Avengers as her second family." She half shook her head, half shrugged, when Steve tried to reassure her. "I'm sure my sestra had her reasons for not telling you all about me."
She had once accused Natasha of being off saving the world with the 'cool kids' and not wanting her baby sister to be in the way. Now she knew better and could believe it. She kept Yelena out of the fray to protect her. She offered her the opportunity to track down the Red Room and help kill Dreykov because that would offer a sense of redemption. She didn't want to make Yelena or any of the other Widows feel obligated to choose this life alongside her when they were finally free to live however they want.
"Yes. She was a superhero." There was something that had been on her mind since she arrived on the bus. Right before she came here, Yelena had accepted a mission from Valentina to track down and take out the man who, according to Valentina, was responsible for her sister's death. Yelena had been more than willing to accept that job. Now she could ask Steve for more details. "Tell me about Clint Barton?"
