Re: Bucky and Peter
Bucky snorted softly. "If you mean the man I saw come out shortly after you were brought in her, that was Captain Carrington. Rumor has it he's bending his lieutenant over his desk on the regular. Not that polite society ever discusses such things of course." He smirked. "Their disgruntled servants on the other hand... So, if he gives you a hard time, you have something to let 'slip' to prove your skills, now."
Setting the tray of drinks down, he took the seat opposite Peter so that, if anyone did come in, it would just look like Bucky was nipping out on his duties for a bit of fun and shouldn't get the younger man in trouble. "Lay a few cards out, just in case we get interrupted," he instructed, before leaning forward to rest his forearms on the table between them, the picture of 'eager attentiveness' to anyone else. "Don't worry about the kitchens. I'm going back and forth enough that I can manage to keep an eye on things. This might actually work in our favor. We can use you as a point of contact to spread information amoung the rest of us. No one will think twice about the guests coming in to speak with you."
Quirking an eyebrow at Peter, he added drily, "I take it from that comment about the Captain that fortune telling isn't a particular skill of yours."
