Re: Steve/Yelena
He shook his head. "No, not particularly, but then I've always worked with people who knew that most of my plans involved putting myself in danger so they could carry on with the mission without getting hurt, at least with the Commandos. With the Avengers-" He huffed. "I'm not sure I was giving orders. It was more a general plan of attack. Let's do this, but they were all too experienced to need any micro management. With Thanos, the entire plan was 'Avengers Assemble' and they knew what to do. Each one ready to die to save the world. I guess I don't see myself as giving orders, but as leading and then people are free to follow me or not."
Steve smiled. "She was worried about me. She was a good friend. One of the few I had at the time. She didn't think twice about going on the run with me and helping me bring SHIELD down." He sorted. "Compartmentalization is only good for Hydra and other power hungry people. Transparency would force them to air their dirty laundry."
He squeezed his hand. "I am so sorry. I wish we had known. We would have reached out to you. If it helps, she gave her life to bring everyone back. She made the ultimate sacrifice, because she is- was amazingly heroic, even if she hid it well."
