"I should be insulted by your tone. You sound surprised that I could have a half good idea. I was preparing to be queen. I do have ideas, even if the courtiers would prefer if I didn't. I don't know how they expect me to reign for decades without having ideas," she said, rolling her eyes.
She smiled. "I'm glad for that." She crossed her arm with him, something that would be proper since they were married. "You have done nothing to make me question that trust and I'm usually a good judge of character."
The thought made her giddy. "Hopefully, we won't be stranded. I don't want to see anyone drown, but it would be rather delightful if we could be somewhere I can swim. I went to the river and the smell was so terrible. I'm afraid of being in that water." She sighed. "But tonight isn't the time for complaints. I plan to enjoy the evening before we need to stop them. So what do you say, husband of mine, would you care to dance with me?"
