"He'd despise it here. No indecent clubs, no endless supply of willing and gorgeous bodies. It'd be his worst nightmare. Worse, imagine if we got a Blaise who's a family man, married Ginny Weasley and had children. It'd be terrifying." At least they would know immediately that it wasn't their Blaise. "That could be said about Remus too and we wouldn't have to fight Fleur for him," he said, laughing. "Some would argue that Potter is the best Gryffindor."
Draco snorted. "There was no way that I could have missed it. It was splashed everywhere. Reporters bribed the mediwitch to take a picture of James. Potter went nuts. That in itself became front page news. Bill said that they had to keep him from killing that photographer and I believe him." He nodded. "It was enough to convince me that it would never happen."
The laughter was spontaneous. Once upon a time, he would have argued, but not anymore. "I did obsess over everything, but the things I learned came in hand like knowing his smell so well that I always knew when he was spying on us, even when he was under that cloak of his." He sighed. "I'll try. There are some moments when he doesn't sound like Potter, like all that talk about us and adoption, but then he turns around and he sounds so very Potter. And there's James now. So we'll see how that works."
