"Oh Merlin. Imagine how bored he would be if he were here? We'd never hear the end of it," he said, but with a fond smile. Blaise, despite his protests to the contrary, was the most high maintenance of them all when it came to being entertained. Of course, he was usually providing the entertainment one way or another. "I don't know if I put it that way, exactly, just if you're going to choose a Gryffindor you could do worse." He grinned at Draco. "I'm not sure about smart, but it does seem to have at least a little bit of self-preservation."
Theo was once again reminded of the time difference between him and Draco; only a few months but it was still weird to think about. "I think the girl Weasley must have been pregnant in my timeline, but to be honest I never paid as much attention as someone else in this room." He was proud of the fact that most of what he knew about Potter and Potter-adjacent was from Draco or whatever headlines in the newspaper he couldn't avoid. "And...that makes sense, actually. It would have been the last thing you needed to...move on." Even if he hadn't moved on to the true love he wanted, and now he was confronted with what might have been.
"So I did," he admitted, but with a smile. "Right, right. I stand corrected. You obsessed over everything he did." He paused and worried his lower lip for a moment. "Please try not to obsess this time around. I...worry about you."
