Draco frowned. "Adopt? Someone not a Malfoy? And my mother was all right with that?" It seemed very strange, but then different worlds and different reactions. "Was I all right with that? I must have. That is surprising." He knew that his voice said it all, but he couldn't help himself.
He shrugged. "If you want to tell me. You don't have to, but you'll find that with time, things have a way to come out here. You're stuck with only a twenty people or so." He chuckled. "I can see why you're a terrible husband. You have a tendency of focusing on saving the world and forget about life." He could see that happening easily, at least until Potter got to the part about cutting dicks. "I would not say anything that crude! I'm sure you are exaggerating. I would have been more indirect-" He stopped and closed his mouth. "All right, maybe not with you."
Draco snorted. "So you proposed on the first date. Very typical and I don't know why I said yes. I should have made you work for it, but the part about the wedding is very credible." He knew how much that had to hurt. Potter took everything personally, and this time, it sounded like it was personal. "And I'm not freaking out. It's one possibility of what our lives could have been. It's not mine."
