"Yeah, cancer's a real bitch like that." Some people beat it and went into remission, sure, but that shit had to take years off your life you would have otherwise had. She cringed when John explained why Derek shot the other version of the conductor. "Yeah, I can see why he shot her then." If something showed up looking like her mom, she'd probably shoot it, too. Not cool.
She actually appreciated him not caring about her mentioning prison. She'd been there, she'd served time, and, if Angel hadn't of needed her, she would have stayed there. The only reason she didn't go back was because Sunnydale had needed all the help it could get. "Yeah, that's what I heard, but it definitely helped in there."
She listened as he talked about hacking some into the bus. She'd been kind of interested in the holodeck, but other than some training with the group, she hadn't really fooled much with it yet. "Managed to find anything interesting yet?" she asked. "And I'm definitely up for a basic electronics lesson. Who knows? If something happens again, maybe I can help fix it." Probably not after just one lesson, but it was fun to think about.
