Everyone was knocking back shots, and Amara didn't quite trust herself to do so. She accepted the non alcoholic drink from John. When Remy, who she had heard about before finally showed up, she responded to introductions with a smile and a nod, before turning to Rogue.
There were more shots on the way, give it a little bit longer and they'd all be acting ridiculous. Sure, staying sober may suck, but it gave her things to make fun of them for later.
"You look absolutely thrilled to be here." she said with an amused smile. "Now quite what you had in mind?" she asked motioning out to the crowed. She couldn't blame Rogue really...tones of people squished together, lots of exposed skin. Yea, it wouldn't be Amara's idea of a good time. But she could look on the bright side, at least she could get smashed.
She leaned up against the bar, looking out toward the other people who surrounded the Brotherhood members. Many people, none that really interested her, probably half of them had diseases. At this point, Amara would trade being able to go out and be all over any of them for a drink. Maybe someday when she had more control "Smile, Rogue, it could be a hell of a lot worse." they could still be trying to get the security system set up, for example. That had been hell for Amara anyway. Too many damn wires.
