Ugh, the physical. Even though Dr. McCoy was a relatively gentle person, she still disliked running on the treadmill, strapped to the beeping heart rate monitor – and don’t even get her started on the blood pressure cuff. Every time someone wrapped one of those things around her forearm, she could barely stop herself from phasing out of it. Still, it made sense that everyone would want to make sure that she was still physically healthy enough to be on the team, so it would probably be best to just get it over and done with rather than procrastinating.
“Thanks, Scott,” she said genuinely, catching him before the phone rang. As he wandered off towards it, she smiled and called, “See you around.”
