"Hey, I don't discriminate," replied Mackenzie with a grin. "I destroy women just as well as I destroy men. I've been the sharp pin that pricks the egos of people around me since I was just a little munchkin."
Her grade one spelling bee was a prime example of that. She might have won...if she hadn't thrown it in order to insult one of her competitors. When told to spell 'conceited', she'd carefully spelled out the name of the little girl who had smiled so smugly every time she spelled something correctly. Sure, she'd been disqualified, but the tantrum Katie Walsh had thrown had been more than worth it. Somewhere in their Miami, Florida home, Mackenzie's parents had a video cassette of this that they were saving for future embarrassment.
"My instructor didn't teach one specific style. He taught a mix of kung fu, muay thai, krav maga and ju-jitsu, mainly, since those were the arts he studied the most. He was good at incorporating the most practical elements of every style he learned into lessons."
