Pinch was at a bottom-of-the-barrell type pub on Cermac Avenue when the flames of John's hatred first erupted. Luckily, the news coverage broke into the basketball game that everyone had been watching. Almost before Pinch realized what she was doing, she'd vanished from the bar. Less than a minute later, she reappeared on a rooftop a few blocks over, looking down on the mess and thinking to herself. It was definately John's work, it was too much of a coincedence otherwise. But where would he be exactly? Still close to the crowd, she decided. He'd want to watch the terror he'd caused. From Mystique's description, it sounded like he got off on it.
Aah, there! She couldn't see his face from this angle, but there was someone of the right height and build, calmly striding away from the growing panic. And with a cigarette in his hand, no less. She marked his position clearly in her mind, and focused on being there. It would take her at least two uses of her powers, but that would be quickly enough... unless he started to run. She frowned and went....
....only to have her frown replaced with a grin as she appeared out of thin air, right in front of Pyro on the street. In the split second of surprise in which she had to act, she held out her empty hands to her sides. Despite that some mutants didn't need weapons, it was still a peaceful gesture.
"That was mean, to burn the poor little sheep". Her words were only mock chastising; her sardonic grin showed her amusement plainly.
