Millie laughed as she and Lily stumbled out of the Grange's event barn, the cool night air hitting their flushed skin as they leaned on each other for support - giggling like they hadn't since they were kids. It had been ages since she had let herself go like this, and she felt light, free - maybe a little too free.
"You know what?" Lily slurred with a wicked grin, her eyes glittering with mischief. "I dare you, Mills… I dare you to run through those fields like we used to. No holding back. Clothing… optional."
Millie's eyes widened as the dare hung in the air between them. She looked toward the wide expanse of the fields beyond her cottage, the tall grasses swaying gently in the breeze. The idea was ridiculous… and thrilling. A part of her, the responsible coordinator of agrotourism and part of the management part, wanted to say no. But another part, the part that had missed the wild freedom of childhood, was itching to accept. Her mind raced, the tequila fueling her decision. It would be easy, thrilling even, to let go, be untamed for just a short while.
"You're insane," she whispered, though there was a growing smile tugging at her lips, her pulse was racing, her body already buzzing with the thrill of the challenge.. "Are you serious?"
"As a heart attack," Lily shot back with a grin, nudging her playfully. "Come on, Millie. You've been all work and no play for way too long. I dare you. Can't back down on dare, remember?"
Millie bit her lip, adrenaline kicking in as she let out a breathless laugh. Her body already moved without her fully realizing it - her boots kicked off, her fingers reaching for the hem of her shirt. The air felt electric against her skin as she yanked the fabric over her head, the cool night air kissing her bare arms, sending a shiver down her spine and making her nipples harden.
"You better not let anyone see," Millie muttered. "I'm not explaining this to anyone."
With a bold grin, she unbuttoned her jeans and let them drop, the cool breeze grazing her exposed skin as she kicked them aside. She stood there for a second, the moonlight bathing her, her breath quick and shallow. Then with a burst of laughter, she ran into the fields, her heart pounding, her body humming with exhilaration.
The grass brushed against her bare legs, the wind whispering secrets in her ears. The world around her seemed to fall away, leaving only the feel of her body, the pulse of freedom running through her veins. The cool air caressed her skin, every sensation heightened, every breath a rush of wild energy.
