9 Squares - Millie - Walk

Walk

Millie, mentions of DJ (implied) - MATURE
The beat pulsed through the air, vibrating the floor beneath Millie's feet as she stood at the edge of the dance floor, drink in hand. She hadn't planned to stay long, just a quick night out to blow off some steam after a long week, but something caught her eye. Or rather, someone.

A woman - short but fierce, with dark braids cascading down her back - moved through the crowd like she owned the room. Her confidence was palpable, radiating from every step she took as if the floor itself bent to her will. Millie's gaze locked onto her, unable to tear herself away from the slow, hypnotic sway of her hips.

She didn't know her name yet, but she didn't need to. The way the woman walked across the room told Millie everything she needed to know - this was someone who knew exactly who she was and what she wanted. And right now, it seemed like she was aware of Millie's stare. She cast a glance over her shoulder, catching Millie's eye with a smirk that was equal parts teasing and challenge.

Something ignited in her, like a spark to kindling, the club around her fading into the background. Millie's breath hitched in her throat as the woman's gaze slid over her with a slow, deliberate intensity, and Millie felt her pulse quicken with anticipation.

She didn't stop walking. She didn't have to. Millie knew, in that moment, that she would follow her anywhere tonight.

And as the woman disappeared into the back corner of the club, that's exactly what she did. © tessisamess
