Rose was bored. No, wait, scratch that. She was beyond bored. Giving up working at the alternate universe's Torchwood to go to school wasn't exactly her brightest idea, but it was better than nothing, and it's what her mother would've wanted for her. Rose briefly wondered how the Doctor was - sure she saw him around campus every once in a while, but even still, they never really got to sit down and talk. A part of her, and she wasn't sure how big that part was, wondered if he was just too busy, or if he was mad at her.

So she pulled out her mobile, and texted the Doctor, asking if they could meet up to talk about things. Truth be told, she missed (and maybe loved ) him, though it was the other incarnation that she had finally confessed to. The blonde agreed to meet him on the quad, and it wasn't really any surprise to her that she was there first. Rose sat down on a bench, and leaned against its back, crossing her legs as she waited for the Doctor.

Some may say that being a companion of a Time Lord is (or was, in some cases) a great thing, even when their time had ended with them. Others, like Rose, wanted nothing more than to find themselves back with the only Time Lord that she ever wanted to be with - the Doctor. But not just any version of the Doctor. No, the one that she wanted was tall, lanky, wore Converse with a suit, and sometimes black square framed glasses. The Doctor that left her broken after she confessed her love to him on the beach in Norway in the parallel world.

And even when the Doctor said that there wouldn't have been any way for her to return, Rose got a job with Torchwood on the parallel world had given her the chance - that one chance - to leave and be with him, and she took it. For months she had worked on it, making sure that everything would work perfectly when the day would come for her to finally leave. For months every day closer to the dimensional cannon being finished was one day closer that Rose couldn't wait to be reunited with him.

Then Rose had done it. She had jumped universes. The first person ever to do so. The void was closed again and everything went perfectly. Nothing wrong here.

Was she ever mistaken.

Rose had found herself in the middle of a college campus, surrounded by people and things that were unfamiliar to her, she couldn't help but being a bit heartbroken by the whole affair. She had expected to be in England - London, to be exact - with the blue box that was bigger on the inside than the outside somewhere just around the corner, and the Doctor inside, happy to have her back. And she'd never leave him again.

Taking a seat on an empty bench, she looked up at the sky, blinking as she caught the sunset and sighed inwardly.

"I should have never taken that chance if I'd have known this," Rose said quietly to herself. "I should have just stayed over there with Mum, Dad, Mickey, and Tony."

It was a quiet Sunday, and a pretty nice day. She'd closed the shop after the morning rush, taking the rest of the day off. She felt she needed a day off, and she wanted to spend it with Rose. she left a voicemail for Rose, and decided to straighten up the flat while waiting, and perhaps do some personal baking.

After the flat was cleaned, and Tony's things put back into his room, she still wondered how he could manage to tear up his room and the flat in two weeks. She was still finding his things everywhere. Rose wasn't the neatest person in the world, but she was still neater growing up than Tony was.

She decided to start mixing up some chocolate chip cookie dough. It had been a while since she'd taken time to bake for personal rather than just the shop. She was humming a bit to herself as she waited for Rose.

It was that time of year again. The fall semester of 2009 at Ravenhurst University was in full swing, and that called for a party. Of course, it wasn't going to be the type that would be getting fully out of hand, but a party none the less that was open for all the students, faculty, and people in town.

Everything was in place - a local deejay was on hand to supply the music, and plenty of food and soft drinks to go around. Now all people had to do was just show up, and have a good time.

Who: Jack Harkness and Ianto Jones
What: The first meeting of the Ravenhurst rainbow alliance, aka all the LGBT/and gay friendly students hanging out.
When: Friday afternoon.
Where: Jacobs Student Center.
Rating: PG13-ish? Lets be fair, this is Jack we're talking about, he's a dirty minded man.

Jack was sitting on one of the tables in the room, leaning back on his arms. He was watching Ianto move about the room, making sure there were chairs and pillows for the kids to flop on. Jack enjoyed watching the Welshman move about the room, it gave him a reason to gaze unabashedly at his arse. The older man really didn't know what do say to the group of students that had joined up, all he knew was when he saw that the school needed a member of the staff to run the alliance, he had to take the position. Jack knew the 21st century, while better than say the 18th century, was still not always kind to gay kids. It was something he never understood, why sexuality was such a big damn deal. If he could make these kids feel less weird one day out of the week, then he would.

He looked over at the list that was sitting next to his hand on the table. There were only a few kids joined up so far, but he hopped that would change in time. He couldn't help but shake his head fondly when he saw Rose's name on the roster, not surprised by it very much. After all, her little brother was gay, and dating two men at the same time meant that her lovers were obviously bisexual at the very least.

Leaning forward, he clapped his hands together. "Looks like we're all set." He said, giving Ianto a smile. "Now all we need a the rugrats."

Belle strolled through the fine arts wing. The random statues, paintings, engravings and photos capturing the perspective of so many different eyes was enthralling. It soothed her savage beast. And her beast was fairly snarly. Math was going to drag down her GPA and it just really pissed in her cheerios. At least her quick stroll took some of the edge off.

Passing outside the crisp air invaded the were's senses teasing her, taunting her to shed her human mask and run the wood with her brethern. A rough shake of the dirty blonde's head cleared the thoughts keeping her eyes their normal color with an iron will. Few creatures in existence were as stubborn as Belle Patrick. The outdoor sculptures held to ground her human side. A glimmer of light revealed something like a reflection. A crooked, dazzled smile curved full lips. Had someone done an experiment with mirrors. With a wide smile she looked around to try to find how the trick was done. But as she got closer the Bolverik noticed that her reflection's clothes were nothing like her own outfit. One eye twitched in a slight squint as she reached out tapping the shoulder of a very distracted blonde girl. Nope. Not a mirror.

Jack marched into the Hub with his usual dramatic flourish, getting a scoff from Tessa as he did. The teen in question was sitting on one of the couches, her feet up on the edge of the coffee table in front of her.
Jack walked right past her and into their new medical bay, taking the chocolate bar that The Master had given him out of his pocket and dropping it onto the scanner. Hey now, he couldn't be too careful. It only took a moment but when the scanner cleared it as clean, nothing but chocolate in the bar he snatched it up and went back into the main area.

"Here." He said, tossing the sweet to his daughter before knocking her feet off the table unceremoniously with his leg. "Ianto will kill you if you put your feet on the table." Jack said, pointing at her before she had a chance to argue. "Table's aren't for feet." He muttered, walking past her.

"Thanks." The ginger haired teen mumbled about the sweet, tearing it open.

"I saw your siblings today." He said flippantly.

"Really?" Tessa perked up a bit, a piece of chocolate in her mouth.

"Yeah, they can't wait to meet you." Jack said, taking his coat off and hanging it just inside the door of his office. He turned back just in time to see the girl smiling brightly, it was a smile he hadn't seen on her face since before he told her about Samuel's death.

"Cool." She breathed, she had never had bothers or sister or heck even cousins before, the thought excited her.

"Very." Jack smiled at her, leaning against the door frame and watching his youngest or well technically oldest child eat the sweet and daydream about a family she never had. It was that moment that the sound of the Hub's secret door opening caused Jack to look over to see who was entering.

Ever since Rose's encounter with the Moons and Anna, her sanity was nearing the brink of a mental breakdown. She felt foolish for calling Liam 'Doctor', when she thought that it was Shelly's uncle, though one could have never been quite sure about that.

She had saw Jack around the campus before, but never got a chance to actually talk to him. Rose decided to take the initiative to see one of her friends (that she hadn't seen in ages, mind you), and stopped by his office while she knew he was there.

"Jack? You busy?" Rose asked, after knocking on the door.
