Another school year had just begun for the college, and was just about to begin for the high school. Summer was officially over for some, and practically over for everyone else. The area in front of the library was set up for the dj and a couple of local bands, and there was plenty of refreshments for everyone. All people had to do now was show up, socialize, and enjoy the party.

[[Who:]] Satine
[[What:]] Walking and singing
[[Where:]] Malvern Public High School
[[When:]] After school
[[Rating:]] PG
[[Status:]] Open ~ Open to All; Multiple threads welcome

Satine was just finishing up some bits of cleaning. The students had a tendency to never clean up their messes. She smiled to herself thinking how much she truly enjoyed taking care of her students. Each was more important to her than what was probably healthy, almost like a pseudo-mother than a true teacher-student relationship.

As she cleaned Satine caught herself humming a montage of songs from a what seemed like a lifetime ago. "Come what may, I will love you" the song that seemed to be haunting her more and more as of late. Her longing to find Christian so deep it cut her straight to the bone.

[[Where:]] In town
[[Rating:]] PG
[[Status:]] OTA; multiple threads welcome

Satine was quite enjoying her new role as a music teacher at the local high school. It was a strange change from her past; a prostituée at the Moulin Rouge. She had enjoyed singing there as well so it was natural for her to take the position when she had learned it was open.

After another grueling day with the high school children, Satine decided to tinker about town and see what this quaint little place had to offer.

Who: Sookie Stackhouse
What: Working the late shift
Where: Caritas
When: March 24, early evening
Status: OPEN, multiple threads welcome
Rating: TBA

Sookie had been in Malvern only a few weeks. She had started looking for a job almost immediately and had been lucky to find a serving job at a local karaoke bar called Caritas. The owner was a strange, green guy with horns named Lorne. She wasn't entirely sure, but she thought he might be a demon. He wasn't anything like the part-demons she had met when she was working for the Queen of Louisiana, but the way his mind felt to her was what made her think that.

It had been a crazy few weeks for Sookie. She hadn't been out of Louisiana for this long before in her life. Even when she had done jobs for Eric, he had never kept her away from home this long. And it seemed that her stay in Pennsylvania was looking to be a permanent thing. It made her uncomfortable to be away from her friends. She even missed her brother, Jason sometimes.

Tonight was looking to be a good night at Caritas. There had been plenty of people in and out and she was making decent tips. She had been working very hard to keep her shields up as she worked, though, and that made her very tired. Back home in Bon Temps, people knew about her disability. They didn't necessarily believe she could read their minds, but they knew about it. It wasn't a topic of discussion in most circles, even her closest family and friends didn't really ever speak of it. But it was understood. Or they just simply called her "Crazy Sookie".

Here was a different situation. These people didn't know about her disability. They didn't understand that she could read their minds. And she also didn't know these people like the ones in Bon Temps. It would be an invasion of privacy to get into their thoughts. She also hated to get into people's heads without their permission. So, she was working triple time to keep her shields strong as she worked. She didn't want to have a mental slip where she was answering someone's thought that was meant to be private or brining something to the table they had only considered ordering but never acutally spoke aloud.

To top it all off, Sookie was lonely. Everything she had grown up with, every person she had grown up with was back in Bon Temps and she was out in Pennsylvania. The fact that she was tired and lonely only added to the effort it took her to keep her shields up. She had only been at work a few hours, but she was mentally and physically exhausted already. It was looking to be a long, hard night ahead.

Who: Anna Henderson, Raven Harrison, Tabitha Moon, Liam Moon, Shelly Moon, Ian Moon, and Amy Moon.
Where: Anna & Liam's flat.
When: Evening, around 8:30pm.
What: Anna finding out about Raven's re-appearance.
Rating / Status: TBA / Imcomplete; closed off to only those listed.

Anna had called Tabitha, Shelly, Ian, and Amy to let them know that Raven was back in town, and that she needed to see them. She went into the kitchen to start tea for everyone, and was slightly pacing as she did so. "Liam, love," she paused, looking over at him. "Rae's coming over, she sounded really upset when I spoke to her just a little while ago. And she told me to tell you not to blow up any basements. Tabitha, Shelly, Ian, and Amy are on their way over, too.

There was a knock on the door just as she had finished her statement - the first of five to be arriving. Anna looked through the peephole, making sure it was one of the family members arriving and not any unwanted guests, before opening the door to let Ian into the flat.

"Hi Mum," he said, returning the embrace that Anna had pulled him into before she let go of him. "Dad. What's wrong with Aunt Rae?"

"Maybe you should ask that when she comes over," Anna replied. "For now, have a seat. I'm making tea for everyone."
