Dear Mum, First off, I know Ludo hasn't written you back yet, so please, please stop telling me about it. I've tried to talk to him but I think he's avoiding me. He probably doesn't want me nagging him. Which is what you're doing. Mum, I love you, really, but I don't want to hear about Ludo in your letters alright? Right. Quidditch tryouts were the other day. They were brilliant, of course. Amos Diggory's our Captain, of course, and he's definitely top notch. You probably know his parents? I know he's Pureblood, so you've had to have met them at some point or another. Anyway, he's going to make sure this season's going to be wicked. I don't mean to compete with Ludo, because he's the Slytherin Captain and all, but our team isn't that bad! Our Chasers are I won't bore you with Quidditch talk any longer though, maybe show that to Dad instead. Classes are going okay, I guess. I had a hard time in Charms the other day, but Gilderoy Lockhart, he's a sixth year in my house, said he'd help me! He's brilliant with Charms, you know, he's probably one of the best in the school, so that should really help. You know how hard Charms are for me. Right! Then Wilda Griffiths, you know, my friend, the Ravenclaw? Her mum's a Quidditch player, and I think she said her dad worked with Charms, I don't really remember exactly. I think I told you about her over summer. But she's so wicked, we've been having a great time so far. She said she'd help me with Potions, if I help her with Transfiguration, because that's my best subject, so I think it'll be good! The journals are really cool, too, because we get to talk to a lot of people! Narcissa was really nice Alright, I don't really know what else to say and Much Love, PS. Could you possibly send some of your cinnamon biscuits? |
A few days later, Otto gets a small package of biscuits, charmed to stay fresh out of the oven, and a small letter on what appears to be embossed, official paper with the Bagman Family Crest at the top. The writing is pristine and very elegant.
It was lovely to hear from you, darling, you know I love reading your letters! Always so informative. Your father says he hopes your Quidditch team does well, and that if you do well in your first game he might think of buying you a new broom! Wouldn't that be lovely? I know you've just been dying to get one after Ludo got his but--oh you know the situation, dear. I'm glad all your friends are doing well. Amos sounds like a lovely young man, very capable. I believe his father was in Ravenclaw? I do think I've met his parents on occasion. Wilda sounds sweet as well. But, Griffiths, darling? I know the name, and really, son, she's not up to your standards. You could do so much better! What about Narcissa? You mentioned she was nice and she's a Black, darling, such an upright family! Nothing at all like her cousin; Sirius is such a disgrace, really, and that Potter boy, his family is nothing like they should be. I'm glad you're setting a good example for the lesser among the students. I'm proud, darling, you know that. You're such a good child. I'll stop mentioning Ludovic, but please try and tell that boy to write to his dear old mum. I'll start to think he doesn't care, and you don't want that, do you? Of course not, dear. I've attached some biscuits for you. Share them with someone worth your time, darling. --Belinda B. Bagman |
