James came charging up the common room steps only shortly after Sirius's arrival. He threw the dormitory door open and roughly closed it behind him. "Those sorry sods trying out for one of my chaser positions next year don't know what they're in for!" James declared, his hair messier than usual, as if he really did just get off his broomstick, and if one where to stand too close to him they'd quickly discover he was giving off the distinct aroma of grass mixed with perspiration. James had just been on the pitch, obviously.
"I only missed one out of about twenty practice drills," James bragged and then flopped down on his bed, a bit exhausted, but in the best possible way. "No one's taking my spot on Tuesday," James told them both.
It wasn't until James came out of 'James world' and stopped talking and thinking about himself that he noticed the odd position Remus and Sirius were in. "What's going on here?" he quirked an eyebrow, though it quite blatantly looked as though Remus had just been attacked by Sirius.
