    EXTRANEOUS
    L I N K S

Extraneous is a new game, based off the TV show HEROES. However, many things are different. We are using the ending cliffhanger of season two, to sort of branch out into this game. The game does not take place in America, and will have many things of their own to deal with.
    P R E M I S E
( Game takes place in Europe, to explore the situations over seas. Mentioning of what happened in the United States is merely for plot purposes only :) )

Right before he could confess to the world that he could fly, two bullets slammed into his body, sending him to the floor. An uproar arose, as Peter held his dying brother in his hands. Pandora's Box was definitely opened that day. The whole world wondered as to what Nathan's speech meant. Superhumans with extraordinary abilities? What was that all about? Their questions were quickly answered when Peter Petrelli spoke to an audience of crews whom were wondering how the congressman's family were doing at such raw times. It was when he was asked about what his brother's speech meant that he exposed his powers. " My brother could fly. " Peter promptly responded to the audience of reporters whom found his statements rather humorous. It wasn't until he used one of his own powers -- the ability to turn invisible on television, that lead people to respond in shock. He even went as far as to reveal the motives of "the company" mentioning various details he saw and learned when he was with Adam. He told of how they would lock individuals up in cells, much like he was at one time -- and how they abducted people with abilities. He also revealed the location of one headquarters he had the pleasure to stay in. Hidden in the city of Odessa, Texas.

The response was most expected. Other superhumans thought that display on television would prompt them to use their own abilities in public, if need be. With "The Company" being looked at for suspicious activity, and was later convicted as the files of abductions, accidental deaths and experiments were discovered. Immediately, many individuals relocated out of the United States, otherwise they would be convicted of conspiracy, treason and over 100 accounts of abuse and various illegal degrees of experimentation on patients. As the last order of Bob Bishop, all files and documentation were to be destroyed regarding further details and plans. The Company was no more, destroyed inside out. Or so, it seemed.

Peter Petrelli was wanted without a doubt. The government had questions, in need of answers. However, with the last act of Bob communicating with Angela, it didn't take much for the man to realize how much people wanted to really use him. His mother was really the last leg -- convincing him he ought to come to Europe with them.

With no other choice, Peter had to do that. Under the watchful eye of Bob, Elle and his mother, they moved across the pond. Some to hide, some to get over the fact America was lost, and some with completely different intentions.

EXTRANEOUS is accepting characters of all types. We offer premades, and allow room for original characters. Some cannons are welcome, but limited. Game takes place primarily in England, with people with powers popping all over the neighboring countries.

Should be interesting to do our own twist of things. :)

    Forgotten Gods
    About / Rules / Cast List / Held / Wanted / FAQ / Resources / Apply

What happens to the old gods, once their temples have crumbled and their believers have abandoned them? Do they die, forsaken, alone? Or do they remain, still wandering the world, immortal, surviving off what little belief they can gather?

Forgotten Gods follows the lives of these old deities, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers moved on to new religions, the gods' powers waned - for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, attempting to regain the power that was once theirs, to revive their followings.

And then there are the New Gods. Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. They are young, at the height of their power. These newcomers are regarded dismissively by some of the older gods, who have seen so many new deities rise and fall in their time; jealously by others, who wish to reclaim the power for their own; and by all with a deep wariness.

Inspired by the world of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, this game invites players to step into the roles of deities, old and new, to create their own modern mythology.

Throughout time each culture has had their own way of passing down the morals of society to the newest additions—their children. Each culture had different tales of characters who strayed from the right, to follow the wrong—or those who had stood up for what was right. They have taught countless generations the differences between good and evil, strength and weakness, courage and cowardice. Morality all rolled up into nice little slices of adventure, romance, deceit, and betrayal. But what happens after "happily ever after"? When the page is turned the characters do not sit idly by and wait.

Once upon a time they stepped from the pages into our world, immortal and powerful and free to do as they would - heroes and villains alike - and began to live like mortals. At first they were pure Tales in human form, princesses and evil stepmothers and knights in shining armor thrown into a reality they couldn't fathom, but as time passed the lines started to blur. They learned how the real world works and were forced to adapt—or to attempt to make the world conform to them.

They are not trapped, however. Part and parcel with their power is the ability to change. If Snow White fell in love with a mortal she could abandon her powers and pass them on, becoming fully human and living out a normal life from that point on. The reasons vary, and not everyone has motivations that are so pure; for some it was a means to an end—giving a villain a greater chance to seize power and hold sway over others—but for most, it simply allowed them to live out the life they'd made for themselves in the mortal world. The Tale lived, then, in another body, and the story could continue. And while some took the responsibility seriously and strove to choose their predecessor well, others were careless and wreaked havoc. Some have chosen not to pass on their magic at all.

For the new Tales, then, life becomes different. They are now immortal, gaining abilities they'd never thought possible, and have both the memories of their own previous life and of the Tale that they, now, have lived. It can be just as painful as when they stepped out of the Tales in their first form, especially if their predecessor did not choose wisely...
