Remus saw no flaw with Regulus' logic about self-esteem. In fact, it seemed to mirror his own thoughts at the moment. "Well, what good are faults unless we can accept them and, perhaps, try to better ourselves through that knowledge?" He would have to disagree about the opinion of Dumbledore, though. He thought best to save that debate for another day.
At least he was going to defend Gryffindor, rolling his eyes and shaking his head. "You're as bad as Gryffindors that assume all Slytherins are selfish and conniving. If you stereotype them that way, how do you ever expect to get to know anyone?"
Yes. He realized with that statement Regulus was definitely implying more than he was saying. His eyes watched the man's mouth and then, after a moment, he let out a breath. "I um..risks can be good." And bad. They can also be bad. He had to remind himself of that as he coughed and forced a wider smile. "Maybe we could risk a drink next time? But...I-I should probably go. Lots to do." A nod. He was being very un-Gryffindor like and feeling nervous, backing away. Pretty normal for him in such situations.
