"You may have a point there," she shrugged her shoulders. Rather pleased to see him smiling rather than the fuming state of anger he had been when he stormed into her office. She thought this conversation could have gone one of two ways, a raging argument or a giant mistake. It didn't go either of those options and it was almost a normal conversation. Rita found that both nice and a little unsettling.
"Try is all I can ask for." Plus she had the fabulous skills of making a dull interview that much more exciting. She would find her ways of knowing the details even if they didn't come from Kingsley and she would present the article in a different manner if she had to. Though that was all forward thinking that might not be necessary. It was enough of a compromise though for her to write what she needed to retract her previous story. She would have to make something up that didn't make her look a fool.
"You are right though people need someone to blame that isn't themselves for doing nothing." She saw enough of that over the course of the war.
"Dry spell?" Rita raised an eyebrow. "That is a pity." She paused a moment. "Since when?" The way he had trailed off she wondered. "Right yeah, if you should go you should go." Part of her ready and willing to get back to work and the other okay with him being here when they were actually communicating normally. She missed this.
