That smirk always made him want to shake her, or kiss her. "That's all you care about then? Selling papers? No matter who you step on to do it?" They were all rhetorical questions, as he didn't expect anything resembling an honest answer out of her.
He almost smiled, and had to choke back a laugh. Even when he was angry with her, she could still get to him. "No comment." He wouldn't fall into that trap, and have her twist his words against him. "Your readers are only interested in salacious, vicious news." He sighed, feeling some of the immediate anger drain away, leaving him feeling tired and sad.
