Mary & Open
Mary had been preparing for Harry's birthday party for a while now, after taking a creative brief from James. She was incharge of designing and helping conduct all party games based on the theme James and Lily had decided upon - without the profanity, wenching and boozing, of course. Her task had become a bit harder since she had extra work thrust upon her at the Ministry, but Mary was nothing if not a workaholic. She had sacrificed sleep and any extra free hour to design games that were engaging and fun for all the children present. She also packed small gifts for children who won these games, apart from the party favour bags.
Now that all the children were happily enjoying some snacks, she stood away from the buffet tables with her hands on her hips, surveying the happy little pirate-themed gathering like a queen looking upon her kingdom. The love she felt for her friends and their chirpy, noisy little versions was evident on her face, in the wide, uninhibited smile she had.
