"One would hope that we mix more," he said, smiling. "Every one of my cousins on my father's side was Slytherins." Not that any of them talked to him now that he was a werewolf, but they had at one point. "I'm actually working for one of those guys you knew. Sirius Black. I manage his club. Have you been yet?"
He looked at the robes again and sighed. He wasn't sure that he felt good about rummaging. It was so much easier when he could just tell Madam Malkin what he wanted and get it tailored to his measurements. "Considering bright is all the rage, I thought I'd compromise and go for a royal blue. It tends to look purple under the club lights." Most importantly it wouldn't look at dated as all of his other robes.
Carter looked at the robe's decollete. "I'd say a collar necklace with stones, rubies or diamonds." He forced a smile again. "I was married once." It felt like a lifetime ago.
