Sirius was tempted to pull out his journal and make her point out anywhere thar he'd said all facts were lies. But he knew that would be counter productive. Instead he just stepped back and let her finish packing.
"Well, everyone thought I had done somethinf horrible or something and that's why you left me. They expected you to be upset, or angry, or heartbroken or whatever. They probably thought you were just putting on a brave face when you said you were fine."
He watched her for a moment.
"Okay. Look. I don't know if this is going to work. We may just be to different to ever really understand each other. But how about this. You go to Sudan, and we won't make anything final. When you get back we can, I don't know, go on a few dates or something. See if we have anything more than physical chemistry. Okay?"
