She called off the whole marriage! I cannot wrap my head around it.
We were talking about feelings and facts, and she got upset that I said sometimes facts aren't useful. Then we got on a weird tangent about arranged marriage. Her argument was that statistics say the majority of arranged marriages end happy. My argument is that you really can't use statistics to argue things like that, since people in arranged marriages are pretty likely to lie to anyone asking them if they're happy or not. The "facts" are inherently flawed, since it's impossible for a set of numbers to tell you how those people are acutally feeling, and in my experience most arranged marriages are unhappy, but they can't get divorced and would rather die than admit they're not the perfect happy couple.
Apparently this meant I think all facts are lies, nothing is true, and that I want her to change everything about herself and her beliefs to fit my selfcentered world view.
I'll let you read it if you like, I am honestly baffled.
