The problem is that people aren't even able to strip down the information into objective facts.
I understand that people will see things differently. They are people. What I don't understand is their inability to strip down personal bias to look at the fact, before superimposing their own beliefs.
Stupid and yet very common example: child draws X
Parent: My child is the next Picasso Random friend: That's so cute Enemy: that's horrible.
Argument ensued.
Why can't all agree that 99.9% of children draw like children, with sticks and circles and absolutely no technique? Once that happens, I don't have to pretend that children can draw, parents don't get upset that the world doesn't see their children as genius, and everything is fine.
