Warded to Sirius and Clorinda
I don't think children get any say in the matter, that's what my brother always tells his when they start whining.
There's nothing wrong with having children near alcohol. In fact, the cultures where alcohol is not banned and children are exposed to it at a young age are the ones with the lowest level of alcoholism. It is beneficial for children to see adults around alcohol and see them not indulge, since they will be unlikely to drink out of spite or being a rebel, because it's boringly normal. There's also nothing wrong with letting them taste some wine at a young age. Most catholic countries do it. The fact that they have to drink it makes them not want to drink it.
Having said that, they aren't my children and therefore I don't care either way.
