"Would you get married again?" she asked, genuinely curious. Her mother had always been so against marriage and her grandmother would have never considered anyone after her grandfather's that, the notion of getting remarried was a foreign one.
Again, Marlene couldn't imagine leaving a daughter at home on a trip like that, but then her family had brought her along around the world. "Then you must bring her here. I'll show her how to ride them. She's not too young. Mum had me on the horses since I was a baby. I was four when I was riding alone on a foal. She couldn't fly more than a few inches for a few seconds, but I thought it was the most brilliant thing in the world."
She giggled. "Not that there is anything going on, but I do know some of his... adventure and his wife might misunderstand our relationship." She shrugged. "I'll find something in the meantime and if you every expand, then you let me know and I can always jump ship. As I said, I'm hardly doing this for the money, which gives me choices."
