"I know. Anyone I know is either married, dead or in Azkaban," she let her voice lower, with a mix of fear and regret. "They are never getting out, any of them." She forced a smile, as if that didn't make her incredibly happy. "Probably why I asked about your brother," she added with a chuckle.
"Your job is incredible, though. Not many do it and a woman!" She didn't have to fake this part. Marlene supported other women when she could. Bellatrix Lestrange being the one exception. "I'm sure Pansy is proud to have a mother that doesn't spend her entire day at home rearranging the curtains. There's only so much you can do in a house without going crazy."
While they talked, a tea set with sweets appeared as well with two glasses of wine. "We can be proper and have some tea with our wine," she said, grinning. "Honestly I've asked Igor if his government needs someone. I've also asked around in the journals, but it's been only a day. I'll start looking in earnest in a week or two, but if you hear of anything interesting, let me know."
