"Extremely. We should be punished severely," Leo laughed, stretching his legs out under the table. "Yeah, but I should probably brush up my skills before I present myself as a present. Wouldn't want to disappoint the bride and groom, after all." There was something beneath Benjy's easy smile, but Leo didn't press. Benjy would tell him when he wanted. "Of course you are. I couldn't handle that alone, and Clorinda might actually be out of the country when it officially opens, because I'm not counting whatever sort of wedding party they'll have as our cruising night."
It was true. Besides the Museum gala and Clorinda's party, Leo had pretty much been staying close to home. There was plenty to do with the animals, and his father was demanding in the revisions to the book. It was a good way to avoid leaving his comfort zone, but it seemed like he'd neglected one of his only two friends in the process. "You should come to the house. A couple of the horses are going to foal, and we've got a new Hippogriff herd that's settled in the forest." He laughed at the mention of Benjy's cats. "Well, I'm not dragging myself back to Dover tonight, so you'll have to suffer me stealing the blankets, and I can get some quality Cheese and Kevin time."
